Meeting Between the Syrian Initiative and the Syrian Dialogue Center
A delegation from the Syrian Initiative for Expertise and Development held a meeting with the Syrian Dialogue Center at its headquarters in Damascus. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmad Qurbai (researcher at the center and former member of the Constitutional Committee responsible for drafting the constitutional declaration), along with researcher Mr. Nawras Al-Abdullah.
The discussions covered the center’s work in producing studies and research that support political and societal transformation in Syria, as well as the Initiative’s vision to empower Syrian expertise in development. Both sides emphasized the central role of scientific research in understanding challenges and building sound, evidence-based decisions.
The meeting resulted in a preliminary agreement to collaborate on a joint study analyzing key indicators for the return of Syrian professionals abroad, identifying motivating and hindering factors, and exploring their practical and societal needs.
Additional topics were also discussed and will be announced once deliberations are complete.
