Official Meeting with the Minister of Emergency and Disasters

We were honored to visit the Ministry of Emergency and Disasters—an exceptional institution rooted in long-standing humanitarian expertise as the institutional successor of Syria’s Civil Defense, known as the White Helmets.

During the meeting, we listened to H.E. Minister Raed Al Saleh and learned about the Ministry’s ambitious plans to enhance Syria’s emergency response system, assess all potential risks facing Syrian cities, and strengthen protection and prevention capacities to better prepare for future disasters.

We were pleased to see the Ministry’s strong interest in identifying and engaging with all relevant expertise in this field, aiming to adapt and apply it in a way that fits our local realities and challenges.

Together, we explored pathways for collaboration and mutual support, reaffirming our full commitment to offering our expertise and network in service of the Ministry. We believe that only through genuine cooperation can Syria rise again and build a safer, more stable future for all its people.
