Yes, the initiative is dedicated to supporting a renewed Syria by leveraging the expertise of Syrians abroad and bridging the knowledge gap in various sectors within the country.

The aim is to introduce the initiative to governmental bodies, private sector organizations, and civil society, and to establish strategic partnerships that facilitate the implementation of future projects and initiatives.

If you have an idea or project you’d like to develop, we recommend joining our specialized group. There, you’ll meet professionals in your field, allowing you to discuss your idea, exchange perspectives, and benefit from collective experience to assess and refine it.

1. If a government or civil entity in Syria expresses interest in your expertise, we will work to connect you directly with them.
2. If there’s a project within the initiative that aligns with your field and experience, we may reach out to explore the possibility of your involvement, either as a consultant or as an active team member.

No, the Initiative is a non-profit organization registered in Sweden and operates under Swedish association laws. It has a Board of Directors currently composed of six members, in addition to an Advisory Council consisting of seven members

We follow an “inverted pyramid” model—projects are not imposed from the top, but instead originate from those who come up with the ideas themselves. Our role is to facilitate and support implementation. For example, several high-quality lectures and training sessions have been delivered in Syria through partnerships with the Damascus Governorate, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and the Ministry of Communications and Technology. These programs were initiated by experts who volunteered to share their knowledge, and we worked to establish the necessary collaborations to make them happen.
